Description : Photodynamic therapy (PDT) utilizes photosensitizers (PS) together with irradiating light of specific wavelength interacting with oxygen to generate cytotoxic reactive oxygen species, in particular singlet oxygen, which has been approved for the clinical treatments of several malignant and non-malignant pathologies.
